A single cask release of Springbank 1972 bottled for la reserve at 46%. La Reserve was a Knightsbridge wine merchants, founded by Mark Reynier, who was also the godfather to the children of Hedley Wright, the then director of Springbank, and the great-great grandson of Springbank’s founder. La Reserve was known for selling casks of Springbank and Ardbeg to the public in the early 1990s, but like many wine merchants of the time, they also bottled their own whiskies, some of which have become incredibly sought after.
