The first edition of Old Ballantruan with an age statement, bottled after 10 years. It's made at Speyside's Tomintoul distillery using heavily peated barley and is bottled at a solid 50% ABV.
Old Ballantruan is produced at the Tomintoul distillery in Speyside as is their peated version, that is distilled from heavily peated barley. It is a whisky that is different from the style usually associated with its region, as it is peated at 55 ppm. It has been aged in old bourbon casks and hogshead casks containing sherry.
