The whisky is part of the limited-edition Douglas Laing XOP "The Black Series," represents the ultra-premium segment of the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This bottling is an exceptional single malt from the renowned Clynelish distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. Distilled in October 1997, the whisky matured in a single refill hogshead and, after 25 years of maturation, was bottled in August 2023 at cask strength (47.5% ABV) in a limited edition of just 129 bottles. The bottling comes in elegant packaging, and each bottle is hand-filled, certified, and signed by Fred and Cara Laing.
