Shizuoka Pot Still W 100% Imported Barley First Edition was released in mid-2022 and was produced using 100% imported barley, 70% of which was peated. It has been aged in a combination of ex-Bourbon and virgin oak casks. The W wood-fired direct-fired still is what gives this robustly flavored barley an even more powerful finish. Using thinned wood cut from the forests of Okushizuoka as a heat source, it distills at a high temperature of 800°C, a method that is extremely rare worldwide.
