The third edition of single malt Japanese whiskey Shizuoka. This chapter begins here.
At Shizuoka Distillery, we use two first-run distillers, K and W, to produce two types of unprocessed sake with different characteristics. Contact S is the first single malt that blends both of these spirits.
Its straightforward, pleasant, and well-balanced taste can be compared to a circle. The steam-heated K has a fruity aroma and light taste and forms the top half of the circle, while the wood-fired W gives a heavy taste and long finish, supporting the bottom half of the circle.
The raw materials used are mainly Japanese barley malt, as well as Scottish peated malt, non-peated malt, and beer malt. We mainly used first-fill bourbon barrels, but we also used quarter casks. This is a Japanese whiskey that uses mainly domestically produced raw materials.
