The Ichiro's Malt Hanyu 1991 Hogshead Cask #479 is a rare and highly collectible single malt Japanese whisky distilled at the closed Hanyu Distillery.
The Hanyu Distillery, founded by the Akuto family in Saitama, Japan, ceased production in 2000 and was dismantled in 2004. Founder's grandson Ichiro Akuto saved the remaining maturing single casks, releasing them under the Ichiro's Malt banner (including this 1991 vintage hogshead) which achieved legendary status among global collectors.
