Since Shizuoka Distillery's production volume is limited, at the beginning of its operations, it purchased foreign-produced whiskey (malt whiskey, grain whisky) and began maturing it on-site.
After releasing single malt whiskeys named after Shizuoka Distillery, "Prologue K'' (released in 2020), "Prologue W'', and `"Contact S'' (both released in 2021), we have begun commercializing blended products.
We blend the original sake with the aim of creating a taste that is representative of Shizuoka. Inspired by friendly whiskey, the label and box are unified in bright orange for a casual and sporty look. It is also the color of the bright tangerine that many people associate with Shizuoka Prefecture.
The "M" in the product name comes from the initials of "MEET," which means that malt whiskey born at Shizuoka Distillery met foreign whisky. As a standard Gaiaflow item, we will continue to sell it throughout the year.
