The Akkeshi distillery was began production in 2016 replicating distilling methods similar to that of the Islay distilleries, and using equipment produced by Forsyth's. The Shoman blended malt release is the 8th release in the annual 24 Solar Term series from Akkeshi. It was put down to mature in oak casks for an undisclosed length of time before being bottled at a strength of 48% abv.
